In the year 1948 department of mathematics came into existence in fraternity of Vallabh Government College. It comprise of 7 faculty members with a blend of experienced seniors and zestful young members.
Mathematics department provides a wide range of program of study for undergraduate and postgraduate courses of Mathematics.

· Students who are under graduate and graduate Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science major.
· Students enrolled in Arts stream.

Activities
In Mathematics department each faculty member supervise every student all through academic year in classes, tutorials, mid terms, quizzes & final examination, seminars, power point/paper presentation etc.
