I take this privilege to welcome you all to another academic session in this premier institution of higher learning. This institution has been an edifice of knowledge for 75 years by reaching out to all sections of the society. The mission of the college is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower our students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and productive members of global society.
Today, we are living in a fast-changing complex society, which presents before us challenges as well as opportunities. In this contest it all depends on every individual, how one responds to the situation with the right mind set. Education is to provide means to enable a person to transcend the limitations of human perception and to understand the organic growth of the world to place oneself fit to perform one’s role efficiently in the larger order of existence. It is a process to cause transformation to the finest of our thoughts, words and deeds. It is to create cultured, developed and compassionate human minds with efficient working skills.
A higher education makes you more aware of what you are actually capable of and enables you to improve your own life as well as contribute to the world as a whole. You tend to stand a bit taller and straighter. In other words, you become more confident in yourself and better equipped to deal with life’s challenges. You should however learn to be positive. Always remember that you are the maker of your own personality. You can yourself write your success story, if you allow yourself to be successful. For that you need to change your attitude towards things by plugging into the power of positive thoughts. Yourself belief empowers you to think of a reasonable probability as regards the attainment of your cherished goal.
