UGC Network

The college is affiliated to University Grants Commission under section 12B & 2f of UGC Act 1956 and receives regular grants under various schemes. At present following activities are undertaken under the aegis of 11th Five Year Plan :

1. COACHING CLASSES FOR ENTRY IN SERVICES

The college has taken an initiative to provide an opportunity to the students who are going to appear in competitive exams for entry in services. This year college has given coaching to about 70 students who are aspiring to enter in the arena of banking sector. The coaching was rendered in the subjects of Numerical Ability, Reasoning, Computer Awareness, English Language and Current Affairs.

2. REMEDIAL CLASSES FOR WEAKER STUDENTS

The college is also contemplating to start the remedial classes in the end of this academic year for the weaker students belonging to SC/ST/OBC and General Categories. The students who are interested to avail this facility, they may contact the office of the Principal/Coordinator of the programme.

3. UGC RESOURCE NETWORK CENTRE

This facility is established in the college to create awareness among staff and students about the use of computers in various activities like administration, finance, examination and research. In addition to information and communication network this would also help to have an access to multimedia material in teaching and learning at place of eminence in India and abroad.

4. STIPEND FOR SC/ST/OBC/MINORITY COMMUNITY

The college also offers stipend to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Minority Community on the basis of merit-cum-means. The rate of stipend is Rs. 500/- per month.

5. CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE FOR STUDENTS COMING FROM REMOTE/RURAL AREA

The conveyance allowance at the rate of Rs.500/ per month was also given to the students who are coming from a distance more than 10 KM and belong to BPL category.

6. CAREER COUNSELING & GUIDANCE

The college also has a Career Guidance and Counseling Cell. Under its aegis, the experts in various fields are invited to deliver lectures and provide necessary guidance to the students in choosing their careers.
